A community secondary school in Witham is seeking an enthusiastic English Teacher to join its English department. The successful candidate will deliver engaging lessons that develop pupils’ reading, writing, analytical and communication skills while supporting progress towards GCSE examinations.
The Role
Teach English Language and Literature across KS3 and KS4.
Plan lessons that develop analytical writing, comprehension and creative expression.
Prepare GCSE pupils for examinations through structured revision and regular assessment.
Adapt resources to support pupils with different learning needs.
Work collaboratively with the English department to maintain consistent teaching standards.
The Candidate
Holds QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
Has strong subject knowledge and effective classroom management.
Can deliver purposeful lessons that encourage participation and independent learning.
Uses assessment and feedback to improve pupil progress.
The Environment
