About the Role

As a Year 2 Teacher, you will deliver engaging lessons across the Key Stage 1 curriculum, creating a positive and inclusive classroom where every child is encouraged to participate and achieve their potential.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Planning and delivering creative lessons across the primary curriculum, including English and Mathematics.

• Assessing pupil progress and adapting teaching to meet different learning needs.

• Preparing pupils for end-of-Key-Stage-1 assessments through effective teaching and targeted interventions.

• Establishing clear classroom routines and promoting positive behaviour.

• Creating an engaging learning environment that encourages curiosity and independence.

• Working collaboratively with teaching assistants and colleagues to support pupil development.

• Maintaining effective communication with parents and carers regarding children's progress and wellbeing.

What We're Looking For

The school is seeking a motivated teacher who can deliver high-quality lessons and create a nurturing environment for young learners.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.

• Experience teaching in a primary school, preferably within Year 2 or Key Stage 1.

• A strong understanding of the primary curriculum and assessment practices.

• Effective classroom management and lesson-planning skills.

• The ability to differentiate lessons to support pupils of varying abilities.

• Excellent communication skills and a commitment to continuous professional development.
