The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic and dedicated teacher with strong subject knowledge, excellent leadership capabilities and a genuine commitment to delivering an engaging, challenging and inclusive curriculum.

The Role:

• Lead and develop the Psychology and Sociology departments, driving high standards of teaching, learning and student achievement.

• Deliver engaging and challenging lessons across the relevant key stages, including A-Level.

• Develop and implement an ambitious curriculum that promotes critical thinking, independent learning and academic excellence.

• Monitor student progress and attainment, using assessment data to identify areas for improvement and implement effective interventions.

• Support, mentor and develop colleagues, sharing best practice and promoting a collaborative departmental culture.

• Contribute to whole-school improvement initiatives and play an active role in the wider life of the school.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and has a strong academic background in Psychology, Sociology or a related discipline.

• Has proven experience teaching Psychology and Sociology, ideally at A-Level.

• Demonstrates the ability to lead, motivate and inspire colleagues.

• Possesses excellent classroom management skills and a commitment to high standards.

• Is passionate about developing students’ analytical, evaluative and critical-thinking skills.

• Is ambitious, organised and committed to continuous professional development.
