The Opportunity

A respected independent school in Islington is seeking a creative and dedicated Art & Design Teacher to join its team in January 2027.

This is an excellent opportunity to help students develop their artistic skills, explore different techniques and express their ideas through a broad and engaging creative curriculum.

The Role

You’ll deliver inspiring Art & Design lessons that develop students’ practical abilities, visual awareness and confidence in their own creative work.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Teaching Art & Design across the relevant key stages.

  • Planning projects that explore a range of media and techniques.

  • Developing students’ observational drawing and creative thinking.

  • Supporting students in building portfolios and evaluating their work.

  • Assessing progress and providing constructive feedback.

  • Maintaining a safe, organised and engaging studio environment.

About You

You’ll be a qualified Art & Design Teacher with strong practical skills and a passion for encouraging creativity. You’ll help students experiment, develop their own artistic style and take pride in their work.
