A secondary academy in Maldon is looking to appoint a French Teacher who can build pupils' confidence in language learning and support progress towards GCSE. The school welcomes applications from teachers who use structured language practice and engaging activities to develop communication skills.

The Role

  • Teach French across KS3 and KS4.

  • Develop listening, speaking, reading and writing skills.

  • Teach vocabulary, grammar and pronunciation through regular practice.

  • Prepare GCSE pupils for written and speaking assessments.

  • Monitor progress and provide targeted feedback.

  • Contribute to departmental planning and language enrichment.

The Candidate

  • Holds QTS and has strong French subject knowledge.

  • Can model accurate pronunciation and effective language-learning strategies.

  • Encourages pupils to participate and practise independently.

  • Demonstrates effective classroom management and planning.
