Wayman Education is seeking a motivated English Teacher interested in exploring a new teaching opportunity in Loughborough. This is an opportunity for a teacher who is passionate about literature, language and literacy, and who wants to help pupils become confident readers, writers and communicators.

The Role

  • Deliver English lessons across KS3 and KS4.

  • Teach reading, writing, language analysis and literary interpretation.

  • Develop pupils' written communication, vocabulary and analytical skills.

  • Prepare pupils for GCSE assessments and examinations.

  • Plan engaging lessons that accommodate different abilities and learning styles.

  • Assess written work and provide clear, constructive feedback.

  • Encourage reading for pleasure and confidence in written expression.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Holds QTS and a relevant English qualification.

  • Has strong subject knowledge in English Language and Literature.

  • Can create engaging lessons that develop literacy and critical thinking.

  • Demonstrates effective behaviour management.

  • Is committed to supporting pupils of different abilities.

  • Can work collaboratively with colleagues to improve teaching and learning.

Salary

The indicative salary is MPS/UPS, depending on experience and the employing school's arrangements.
