A secondary school within an academy trust in Bedford is seeking a History Teacher to join its humanities department in January 2027. The school is interested in candidates who can teach engaging lessons across secondary year groups and support pupils preparing for public examinations.

The Role

  • Teach History across KS3 and KS4, with KS5 teaching depending on experience.

  • Develop pupils' understanding of historical events, interpretations and change over time.

  • Teach source analysis, essay planning and evidence-based argument.

  • Prepare examination groups through structured practice and feedback.

  • Monitor progress and plan intervention where required.
