Role: Teacher of Modern Foreign Languages – KS3–KS4
Location: Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire
Contract: Full-time, permanent

Salary: MPS/UPS, dependent on experience

A secondary academy in Huntingdon is looking to appoint an MFL Teacher as soon as possible. Applications are welcome from teachers with French or Spanish specialism who can deliver structured lessons and help pupils develop confidence in communicating in another language.

The Role

  • Teach French and/or Spanish across KS3 and KS4.

  • Develop listening, speaking, reading and writing skills.

  • Deliver grammar and vocabulary through structured practice.

  • Prepare GCSE pupils for written assessments and speaking examinations.

  • Track pupil progress and provide targeted support.

  • Contribute to language enrichment and departmental planning.

The Candidate

  • Holds QTS and has strong knowledge of at least one relevant modern foreign language.

  • Can model accurate pronunciation and effective language-learning strategies.

  • Uses engaging activities to encourage participation.

  • Demonstrates clear behaviour management and strong organisation.

The academy supports collaborative planning and consistent assessment. The successful teacher will join a team committed to improving language uptake, confidence and academic progress.
