A church-affiliated secondary academy in Letchworth Garden City is seeking a part-time RE Teacher for January 2027. The school is looking for a thoughtful and organised teacher who can help pupils explore religious beliefs, ethical questions and different worldviews.

The Role

  • Teach RE across KS3 and KS4.

  • Deliver lessons on religious traditions, philosophy and contemporary ethical issues.

  • Develop pupils' ability to explain, compare and evaluate different viewpoints.

  • Support examination preparation where required.

  • Use questioning and assessment to check understanding.

  • Work with the department to maintain consistent curriculum delivery.

The Candidate

  • Holds QTS and has secure RE subject knowledge.

  • Can lead balanced discussions on sensitive issues.

  • Encourages respectful debate and independent thinking.

  • Is organised and able to work effectively within a part-time timetable.

The Environment
