Location: Framlingham, Suffolk
Contract: Full-time, permanent

A comprehensive secondary school near Framlingham is looking to appoint a History Teacher as soon as possible. The successful candidate will help pupils understand significant historical developments, evaluate evidence and construct well-supported arguments.

The Role

  • Deliver History lessons across KS3 and KS4.

  • Teach historical topics through enquiry-based activities and source analysis.

  • Develop pupils' chronological understanding and written reasoning.

  • Prepare GCSE classes for examinations and extended-response questions.

  • Assess pupil progress and provide clear, actionable feedback.

  • Collaborate with humanities colleagues on curriculum planning.

The Candidate

  • Holds QTS and has secure History subject knowledge.

  • Can make historical content accessible and engaging.

  • Encourages pupils to question sources and consider different interpretations.

  • Maintains positive classroom relationships and clear expectations.
