About the Role

As a Business Studies Teacher, you will bring real-world enterprise, economics, and corporate strategy into the classroom, turning theoretical concepts into engaging, practical learning experiences. You will teach across Key Stage 4 (GCSE / BTEC Tech Award) and Key Stage 5 (A-Level Business / Level 3 BTEC National), equipping students with the critical thinking, financial literacy, and analytical skills needed to excel in modern industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-impact, interactive Business Studies lessons that combine academic rigor with contemporary real-world case studies.

• Prepare students thoroughly for national GCSE, A-Level, and vocational Business examinations (e.g., Edexcel, AQA, Pearson BTEC).

• Integrate modern business technologies, digital marketing trends, and economic insights to enhance classroom learning.

• Assess, record, and track pupil progress, providing clear, actionable feedback to maximize individual student achievement.

• Lead or contribute to extra-curricular enterprise initiatives, such as Young Enterprise competitions, stock market challenges, and industry guest speaker events.

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognized teaching credential.

• A strong academic background with a degree in Business Studies, Economics, Finance, Enterprise, or a related discipline.

• Proven track record or demonstrated capability of delivering outstanding Business teaching at KS4 and KS5.

• Solid understanding of the national Business curriculum and vocational specifications (BTEC / Cambridge Nationals).

• Excellent classroom management, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a passion for bringing real-world business into the classroom.
