Salary/Hours: £160–£250 per day, dependent on experience | Monday–Friday

Wayman Education is recruiting a creative and enthusiastic Drama Teacher for a secondary school in Burton upon Trent. This role offers the opportunity to inspire pupils through performance, practical exploration and the study of dramatic techniques.

The Role

• Teach Drama across KS3 and KS4, with KS5 where appropriate.

• Plan practical and theoretical lessons that develop performance and evaluation skills.

• Introduce pupils to dramatic techniques, theatre practitioners and performance styles.

• Support rehearsals, performances and extracurricular productions where required.

• Assess practical work and written responses in line with curriculum expectations.

The Ideal Candidate

• Holds QTS and has a relevant Drama or Performing Arts background.

• Can deliver engaging practical lessons and manage active learning environments.

• Encourages creativity, teamwork and confidence.

• Has strong organisational, communication and classroom management skills.

• Is willing to contribute to performances and wider school activities.

Salary

Competitive daily rate of £160–£250, dependent on qualifications and experience.
