Our client is looking to appoint an ambitious and knowledgeable KS5 Maths Lead to take responsibility for the continued development of Mathematics teaching and learning at post-16 level. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Mathematics teacher who is ready to take the next step in their career, contribute to departmental leadership and play a significant role in improving outcomes for students studying A-level Mathematics and related qualifications.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of post-16 Mathematics curricula and the ability to deliver challenging, stimulating lessons that prepare students for further study, university applications and future careers. They will be expected to maintain high academic expectations, monitor progress carefully and ensure that students receive appropriate guidance and intervention throughout their courses.

As KS5 Maths Lead, you will support curriculum planning, coordinate assessment practices and use performance data to identify strengths and areas for improvement. You will work closely with colleagues to review schemes of work, share effective teaching strategies and ensure that students are appropriately prepared for internal assessments and external examinations. The role will also involve supporting students who require additional help while providing sufficient stretch and challenge for high-attaining mathematicians.

The school is seeking someone who can combine excellent classroom practice with effective organisation, communication and leadership. Previous experience of coordinating a subject, mentoring colleagues or contributing to post-16 curriculum development would be advantageous. Experience and Qualifications

• Qualified Mathematics Teacher with QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.

• Experience teaching A-level Mathematics at KS5.

• Strong subject knowledge and a clear understanding of post-16 examination requirements.

• Experience of curriculum planning, assessment and monitoring student progress.

• Ability to lead colleagues, coordinate improvement strategies and promote high standards.

• Excellent communication, organisational and analytical skills.

• Legal right to work in the UK.
