Wayman Education is looking to connect with an engaging History Teacher interested in opportunities in Macclesfield. The role offers an opportunity to develop pupils' historical knowledge, analytical thinking and understanding of significant events and individuals.

The School

The school places importance on high standards, positive relationships and a broad curriculum. It aims to help pupils develop confidence, independence and a genuine interest in learning.

The Role

  • Teach History across KS3 and KS4.

  • Deliver lessons covering a range of historical periods and themes.

  • Develop pupils' source analysis, interpretation and extended writing.

  • Support examination preparation and assessment.

  • Contribute to curriculum planning and departmental collaboration.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Holds QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.

  • Has secure subject knowledge across the History curriculum.

  • Can develop pupils' analytical and written communication skills.

  • Creates an orderly and engaging classroom environment.

  • Is committed to improving pupil progress and attainment.

Salary

MPS/UPS, depending on experience and the school's pay structure.
