A secondary school in Ely is seeking an MFL Teacher for January 2027. The school is particularly interested in candidates with French or Spanish specialism who can develop pupils' confidence in communication and help them make steady progress towards GCSE qualifications.

The Role

• Teach French and/or Spanish across KS3 and KS4.

• Develop listening, speaking, reading and writing skills.

• Teach grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation through structured activities.

• Prepare GCSE pupils for assessments, including speaking examinations.

• Use retrieval practice and regular assessment to reinforce learning.

• Contribute to shared curriculum planning and language-learning activities.

The Candidate

• Holds QTS and has strong subject knowledge in French, Spanish or another relevant language.

• Can deliver engaging lessons that encourage active participation.

• Uses clear modelling and effective questioning.

• Can support pupils with different levels of confidence and attainment.
