About the Role

As a Year 2 Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons across the Key Stage 1 curriculum, creating a positive classroom environment and ensuring every pupil has the opportunity to make progress.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Planning and delivering creative, engaging lessons that meet the needs of pupils with different abilities.

• Assessing and monitoring pupil progress, adapting teaching to support individual learning needs.

• Preparing pupils for end-of-Key-Stage-1 assessments through effective teaching and appropriate interventions.

• Establishing clear expectations for behaviour and promoting positive learning habits.

• Working collaboratively with teaching assistants and colleagues to support pupil development.

• Maintaining effective communication with parents and carers regarding progress and wellbeing.

What We're Looking For

The school is seeking a motivated teacher who can inspire young children and create an inclusive, stimulating learning environment.

The successful candidate will have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

• Experience teaching within a primary school, ideally in Year 2 or Key Stage 1.

• A strong understanding of the primary curriculum and assessment practices.

• Excellent classroom management and organisational skills.

• The ability to differentiate lessons to meet a range of learning needs.

• A positive attitude and a commitment to helping every pupil achieve their potential.
