You will assist with the day-to-day upkeep of the school premises, helping maintain a safe, secure, and welcoming environment. Duties will vary and may include basic repairs, routine checks, site security, and preparing facilities for use.

The role would suit someone who enjoys practical work, can identify issues before they become bigger problems, and is comfortable taking responsibility for a range of tasks.

Key Responsibilities

• Carrying out general building upkeep and minor maintenance tasks

• Helping maintain safe, clean, and orderly school facilities

• Assisting with opening, closing, and securing the site as required

• Checking premises for defects, damage, and potential hazards

• Supporting room setups and general site arrangements

• Following health and safety procedures and reporting concerns

• Communicating maintenance needs to the appropriate team members

Skills and Experience

• Experience in caretaking, DIY, property maintenance, facilities, or a related role is advantageous

• A practical mindset and confidence using basic tools where appropriate

• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
