Role: Year 2 Class Teacher – KS1

An inclusive primary academy in Ealing is seeking a motivated Year 2 Teacher to join its team as soon as possible. This role would suit a teacher who can create an engaging learning environment, build pupils' confidence and support children as they develop the core skills needed for the transition into Key Stage 2.

The Role

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons across the Year 2 curriculum, including English, mathematics and foundation subjects.

• Prepare pupils for end-of-key-stage assessments through age-appropriate teaching and regular progress checks.

• Adapt lessons to meet the needs of pupils with different abilities and learning styles.

• Establish positive classroom routines and promote good behaviour.

• Work closely with teaching assistants, parents and colleagues to support pupil progress.

• Maintain accurate assessment records and contribute to pupil progress meetings.

The Candidate

• Holds QTS and has experience teaching within a primary school setting.

• Has a sound understanding of the Key Stage 1 curriculum.

• Can deliver strucured lessons while making learning enjoyable and accessible.

• Demonstrates effective classroom management and strong communication skills.

• Is committed to inclusion and helping every child reach their potential.
