An Excellent Opportunity for a Science Teacher
Our client is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed Science Teacher to join its secondary school in Ipswich. This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher who wants to inspire young people, promote scientific curiosity and contribute to a department dedicated to improving student achievement.
The successful applicant will deliver engaging lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, helping pupils develop a sound understanding of Biology, Chemistry and Physics. You will be responsible for planning lessons that combine clear explanations, practical demonstrations, independent activities and opportunities for collaborative learning.
The school is looking for someone who understands that successful Science teaching involves more than delivering curriculum content. You will encourage pupils to ask questions, evaluate evidence, interpret scientific information and apply their knowledge to unfamiliar situations. Your lessons should be accessible to pupils with different abilities while providing appropriate challenge for those capable of working at a higher level.
You will also monitor pupil progress through regular assessment, marking and feedback, using this information to identify areas for improvement and plan additional support where necessary. Working with colleagues, you will contribute to the development of teaching resources and strategies that help students achieve their potential.
The school welcomes applications from experienced Science Teachers, ECTs and appropriately qualified overseas teachers who hold a recognised formal teaching qualification.
