Key Responsibilities

• Cleaning classrooms, corridors, offices, staff rooms and other designated areas.

• Cleaning and sanitising toilets, washrooms and frequently touched surfaces.

• Sweeping, vacuuming, mopping and maintaining different floor surfaces.

• Emptying bins and disposing of waste in accordance with school procedures.

• Replenishing soap, paper towels, toilet rolls and other hygiene supplies.

• Using cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and in accordance with instructions.

• Following designated cleaning schedules and completing tasks within agreed timeframes.

• Maintaining cleaning cupboards and storage areas in a safe and organised condition.

• Reporting maintenance concerns, spillages, damage or potential hazards.

• Ensuring cleaning equipment is stored securely and handled correctly.

• Following procedures for cleaning areas used by children and school staff.

• Maintaining professional boundaries and adhering to safeguarding policies.

Experience and Skills
