A secondary academy in Colchester is seeking an MFL Teacher to join its team as soon as possible. The school is looking for a teacher who can make language learning accessible, build pupils' confidence in spoken communication and support progress towards GCSE qualifications.

The Role

• Teach French and/or Spanish across KS3 and KS4, depending on specialism.

• Develop listening, speaking, reading, writing, grammar and vocabulary.

• Use structured speaking activities and regular retrieval practice.

• Prepare GCSE pupils for examination requirements and oral assessments.

• Contribute to department planning and the development of engaging learning resources.

The Candidate

• Holds QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.

• Has strong subject knowledge in French, Spanish or another relevant language.

• Can create inclusive lessons that encourage active participation.

• Is confident managing behaviour and assessing pupil progress.
