Wayman Education is looking for a knowledgeable and engaging Psychology Teacher who can help students understand human behaviour, research methods and psychological theory. This role would suit a teacher who enjoys encouraging analytical thinking and helping students apply concepts to real-life situations.
The School
The school encourages academic curiosity and independent learning, supporting students to develop the skills needed for further education. The Psychology curriculum aims to build subject knowledge, research awareness and confidence in evaluating evidence.
The Role
Teach Psychology at KS5, with additional social science teaching where appropriate.
Deliver lessons covering psychological approaches, research methods and key studies.
Develop students' analytical writing and examination technique.
Use assessment and feedback to support progress and identify learning needs.
Contribute to curriculum planning and student enrichment.
The Ideal Candidate
Holds QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification, where required for the role.
Has a degree or strong academic background in Psychology or a related discipline.
Can explain theories and research methods clearly.
Encourages critical thinking and evidence-based discussion.
Is committed to supporting students' academic progress.
Salary
Competitive salary, dependent on experience, qualifications and the school's pay structure.
