💷 Salary: £40,000–£43,000 per annum
A high-performing school in Harrow is seeking an experienced Site Manager to lead its premises and facilities function. This is an opportunity to take ownership of site standards, maintenance planning and compliance while supporting the wider school leadership team.
⚠️ Previous Site or Facilities Management Experience Essential
You should have experience overseeing premises, coordinating maintenance and managing contractors or site staff. School experience would be particularly valuable.
What You'll Be Doing
Managing the day-to-day operation and security of the premises.
Planning preventative maintenance and coordinating repairs.
Overseeing contractors, service agreements and maintenance schedules.
Supervising caretaking and cleaning staff and monitoring standards.
Ensuring compliance with health and safety, fire safety and statutory checks.
Maintaining risk assessments, inspection records and site documentation.
Supporting premises budgets, ordering supplies and obtaining quotations.
Coordinating site preparations for events, lettings and school activities.
Advising senior leaders on site improvements and maintenance priorities.
About You
You'll be a confident organiser with good practical knowledge of buildings, maintenance and safe working practices. The ability to plan ahead, respond calmly to urgent issues and communicate clearly with staff and contractors is essential.
Experience with compliance systems and maintenance planning would be an advantage. An enhanced DBS check will be required.
