An urban secondary academy in Manchester is seeking a committed English Teacher who can engage pupils from a range of backgrounds and help them achieve their potential. The school is looking for someone who combines strong subject knowledge with a consistent and encouraging approach to classroom management.

The Role

  • Teach English language and literature to KS3 and KS4 classes.

  • Deliver structured lessons that develop reading, writing and analytical skills.

  • Prepare pupils for GCSE assessments and examinations.

  • Use regular assessment to identify pupils who need additional support or challenge.

  • Work closely with pastoral colleagues to promote attendance, engagement and positive behaviour.

The Candidate

  • Holds QTS or an equivalent recognised qualification.

  • Has a positive, resilient approach to classroom teaching.

  • Can establish clear routines and maintain purposeful lessons.

  • Is committed to inclusion and helping pupils build confidence in English.
