An established independent preparatory school in Cheltenham is seeking an ambitious Primary Teacher to join its Upper KS2 department. The school offers a broad curriculum and encourages pupils to develop strong academic foundations alongside creativity, independence and confidence.

This position would suit a teacher who enjoys delivering challenging lessons and contributing to the wider life of a school.

The Role

  • Upper KS2 Teaching: Teach pupils across the core curriculum and selected foundation subjects.

  • Academic Development: Deliver lessons that develop critical thinking, independent learning and problem-solving.

  • English and Mathematics: Strengthen pupils' subject knowledge in preparation for the transition to secondary education.

  • Assessment: Monitor progress and provide constructive feedback to pupils.

  • Enrichment: Contribute to extracurricular clubs, educational visits and wider school activities.

  • Pastoral Responsibilities: Support pupils' wellbeing, confidence and social development.

  • QTS or a recognised teaching qualification.

  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
