A growing primary academy in Warrington is seeking a motivated Year 4 Teacher to join its established teaching team. The school is committed to raising attainment through engaging lessons, consistent classroom routines and a broad curriculum that encourages pupils to become confident, independent learners.
The successful candidate will take responsibility for a mixed-ability class and work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure pupils make strong academic and personal progress.
The Role
Classroom Teaching: Deliver high-quality lessons across English, mathematics, science and foundation subjects.
Curriculum Planning: Prepare structured lessons that build on prior learning and provide appropriate challenge.
Differentiation: Adapt teaching strategies for pupils with varying abilities, including those requiring additional support.
Assessment: Use formative assessment and marking to identify misconceptions and plan next steps.
Behaviour Management: Establish clear expectations and maintain a calm, purposeful classroom.
Parent Engagement: Communicate regularly with parents and carers about pupil progress and development.
Team Collaboration: Share planning and resources with the wider KS2 team.
The Candidate
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
Primary teaching experience, preferably within KS2.
Strong understanding of the National Curriculum.
Confident classroom management and assessment skills.
Excellent organisation and communication.
A proactive approach to improving pupil outcomes.
