An excellent primary school in Slough is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 2 Teacher to join its teaching team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate primary teacher who can deliver creative lessons, nurture pupils' confidence and help children build the skills they need for continued success.

About the Role

The successful candidate will take responsibility for a Year 2 class, delivering a stimulating curriculum and creating a positive, inclusive classroom environment. You will support pupils as they develop their independence and prepare for the transition to Key Stage 2, ensuring every child receives the appropriate guidance and encouragement.

Key responsibilities include:

• Planning and delivering engaging lessons across the Year 2 curriculum.

• Developing pupils' literacy, numeracy and problem-solving skills.

• Assessing progress and adapting teaching to meet individual needs.

• Preparing pupils for end-of-Key-Stage-1 learning expectations.

• Maintaining high standards of behaviour and classroom organisation.

• Building positive relationships with parents, carers and colleagues.

• Supporting pupils' social, emotional and academic development.

• Contributing to the wider life of the school.

What We’re Looking For

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

• Primary teaching experience, ideally within Key Stage 1.

• Strong knowledge of the Year 2 curriculum.

• Effective classroom management and communication skills.

• A creative, flexible and child-centred approach to teaching.

• Ability to support pupils with different abilities and learning needs.

• A commitment to raising achievement and promoting inclusion.
