Job Overview

The Head of Mathematics takes overall responsibility for the curriculum delivery, academic progress, and teaching standards across Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4 (GCSE), and Key Stage 5 (A-Level / Further Mathematics).

Leading a large team of specialists, you will refine schemes of work, manage pupil setting, oversee targeted revision programs, and promote mathematical problem-solving competitions across the school. This is a full-time, permanent position.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the strategic development and delivery of the Mathematics curriculum across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5

• Line-manage, coach, and evaluate teachers within the Mathematics department

Job Overview

Science is a flagship department at this institution. The successful candidate will provide strategic leadership across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics, managing classroom teaching, laboratory safety, curriculum design, and exam outcomes across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.

Working alongside senior leadership, a team of subject leads, and laboratory technicians, you will maintain high standards in GCSE Combined/Separate Sciences and A-Level disciplines while fostering scientific inquiry. This is a full-time, permanent contract.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic direction, curriculum oversight, and operational management for the Science faculty

• Teach inspiring Biology, Chemistry, or Physics lessons across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5

• Lead, line-manage, and mentor teaching staff and laboratory technical support

• Enforce statutory CLEAPSS health and safety standards across all prep rooms and laboratories
