The Opportunity
We are looking for a friendly, organised and proactive Administrative Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive primary school in Wolverhampton.

The Role
As an Administrative Assistant, you will provide a range of administrative and organisational support across the primary school.
You will:
Provide efficient and professional administrative support to the school office.
Act as a friendly and welcoming first point of contact for parents, pupils, staff and visitors.
Answer telephone calls, respond to emails and deal with general enquiries professionally.
Assist with the day-to-day operation of the school reception and office.
Maintain accurate pupil, staff and school records.
Update school databases and administrative systems as required.
Prepare, format and proofread letters, newsletters, reports and other school documents.
Assist with the organisation of meetings, appointments and school events.
Support communication with parents and carers.
Assist teachers and school leaders with general administrative tasks.
Maintain accurate filing systems, both electronic and paper-based.
Assist with pupil attendance administration and related record keeping.
Support the administration of admissions, pupil records and school correspondence where required.
Prepare documents, photocopying, scanning and other general office duties.
Assist with school trips, activities, events and other arrangements.
Liaise with external organisations and agencies when required.
Handle confidential information relating to pupils, families and staff with care and discretion.
Monitor administrative tasks and deadlines to ensure work is completed promptly.
Provide additional administrative support to the Headteacher, senior leadership team and school staff as required.
Help ensure the school office remains organised, efficient and welcoming.

Previous experience in an administrative or office-based role.
Experience working within a primary school, education, public sector or professional environment.

Confidence using Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
Experience maintaining accurate records and databases.
