We are working with a thriving secondary school in Slough to recruit an enthusiastic and dedicated Geography Teacher for a full-time position starting in January 2027. Your Next Teaching Adventure
As a Geography Teacher, you will encourage students to look beyond the classroom, question the world around them and understand the physical and human processes shaping our planet.
Your responsibilities will include:
Delivering engaging Geography lessons that spark curiosity and encourage independent thinking.
Teaching a broad range of topics, including physical geography, human geography, climate change, urban environments, development and global issues.
Preparing students for GCSE examinations and supporting strong academic progress.
Developing students’ map-reading, data interpretation, research and geographical enquiry skills.
Creating an inclusive classroom where students feel confident asking questions, debating ideas and exploring different perspectives.
Assessing progress and providing constructive feedback to help every student achieve their potential.
Contributing to curriculum development, departmental planning and wider school activities.
Promoting an interest in fieldwork, geographical investigation and real-world environmental challenges.

Are You the Right Fit?
We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic about Geography and passionate about helping young people understand the world they live in.
The ideal candidate will have:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an appropriate teaching qualification.
A degree or relevant qualification in Geography or a related subject.
Secondary school teaching experience, ideally including GCSE Geography.
Strong subject knowledge and the ability to make geographical concepts engaging and accessible.
Effective classroom management and excellent communication skills.
The ability to motivate students, encourage critical thinking and support different learning needs.
Strong organisation, planning and assessment skills.
A commitment to high standards of teaching, learning and student achievement.
Eligibility to work in the UK.
