A large academy primary school in Coventry is seeking a confident Year 5 Teacher to join its teaching team. The school has a strong focus on raising attainment and provides teachers with extensive collaborative planning and professional-development opportunities.

The Role

  • Year 5 Teaching: Take responsibility for a mixed-ability Year 5 class.

  • Planning: Deliver well-structured lessons that provide both support and challenge.

  • English: Develop reading comprehension, writing accuracy and vocabulary.

  • Mathematics: Develop fluency, reasoning and problem-solving skills.

  • Assessment: Track progress and use data to identify intervention priorities.

  • Behaviour: Establish consistent routines and high expectations.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with parallel Year 5 teachers and support staff.

The Candidate

  • QTS.

  • Strong KS2 experience.

  • Excellent curriculum knowledge.

  • Good assessment and planning skills.

  • Confident behaviour management.

  • Strong teamwork and communication abilities.
