Wayman Education is working with an Independent Primary School in Windsor to recruit an organised and professional School Administrator. The school is looking for someone who can provide efficient administrative support and act as a welcoming first point of contact for parents, pupils, staff and visitors.
The successful candidate will play an important role in ensuring the school office operates smoothly and that administrative processes are completed accurately and efficiently.
The Role
The School Administrator will support the day-to-day operation of the school office and provide administrative assistance to staff across the school.
The role will involve answering telephone calls, responding to emails, welcoming visitors and directing enquiries to the appropriate members of staff. The successful candidate will maintain accurate records and ensure important information is communicated promptly.
The School Administrator will assist with pupil administration, including updating pupil records, maintaining databases and supporting admissions and transfers. They may also assist with attendance administration and follow up on information from parents and carers.
The role will involve preparing letters, forms, reports and other documentation, as well as maintaining effective filing systems. The successful candidate will support the organisation of meetings, appointments, school events and other administrative activities.
The School Administrator will also assist with ordering stationery and office supplies, maintaining office records and supporting senior leaders with general administrative tasks.
The successful applicant will regularly handle confidential information relating to pupils, parents and staff and will therefore be expected to follow school policies relating to safeguarding, confidentiality and data protection.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in administration, reception, customer service or a similar office-based role. Previous experience working within a school or educational setting would be advantageous.
Strong communication skills, excellent organisation and attention to detail are essential. The successful candidate should be confident using Microsoft Office and comfortable working with databases and administrative systems.
The school is looking for someone who is friendly, professional and approachable, while also being able to maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries.
The ability to manage several priorities at once and remain calm during busy periods is important. A proactive approach and willingness to support colleagues across the school are also required.
