You will deliver Business Studies lessons covering key areas such as marketing, finance, operations, human resources, business ownership and external influences.
A major part of the role will be helping students apply their knowledge to realistic business scenarios. You will use case studies and current examples to encourage students to consider why businesses make certain decisions and how those decisions can affect their success.
At GCSE, you will develop students' examination skills, including their ability to analyse case studies, interpret financial information and produce well-supported evaluation.
Where appropriate, you may also teach at KS5, helping students tackle the more demanding analytical and evaluative requirements of A-Level Business.
You will assess students' progress regularly and use feedback to help them improve both their subject knowledge and written responses.
Business Studies Teacher - School Information

Business Studies Teacher - Experience and Qualifications
Business Studies, Business Management, Economics or related Degree
QTS or recognised teaching qualification
Experience teaching Business Studies
Ability to teach GCSE Business
KS5 experience desirable
Strong knowledge of business operations
Good understanding of finance and marketing
Excellent analytical and evaluative skills
Strong classroom management
Effective planning and assessment
Ability to engage students with real-world examples
Salary
The salary for this Business Studies Teacher position will be paid to scale on MPS/UPS, depending on experience and qualifications.
