An inclusive primary academy in Bristol is seeking a strong Year 6 Teacher to cover a current staffing requirement. The school is looking for someone who can quickly establish positive relationships and maintain high expectations.

The Role

  • Year 6: Take responsibility for teaching a Year 6 class.

  • Preparation: Plan effectively for pupils working at different attainment levels.

  • Assessment: Monitor progress and prepare pupils for the transition to secondary education.

  • Inclusion: Support pupils with SEND and additional learning needs.

The Candidate

  • QTS.

  • KS2 teaching experience.

  • Excellent understanding of Year 6 expectations.

  • Strong behaviour management.

  • Experience supporting SEND pupils would be advantageous.

The Environment

  • School: Inclusive primary academy.

  • Leadership: Supportive and approachable SLT.

  • Support: Experienced teaching assistants and pastoral staff.
