A welcoming and ambitious primary academy in York is seeking an enthusiastic Primary Teacher to join its KS1 team as soon as possible. The school has high expectations for pupils and places a strong emphasis on creating an engaging and inclusive learning environment.
The Role
Class Teaching: Take responsibility for a KS1 class and deliver high-quality lessons across the primary curriculum.
Planning: Prepare creative and appropriately challenging lessons that meet the needs of different learners.
Assessment: Monitor pupil progress and use assessment information to inform future teaching.
Pastoral Support: Build positive relationships with pupils and support their wider development.
The Candidate
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
Primary teaching experience or strong recent placement experience.
Good knowledge of the KS1 curriculum.
Confident classroom management skills.
Passionate about helping children achieve their potential.
