Mathematics Teacher – Join an Ambitious and High-Achieving Chelmsford School
· Mathematics Teacher required for a successful and welcoming school in Chelmsford
· Excellent opportunity to join a well-established and supportive Mathematics department
· Mathematics Teacher to inspire students and deliver engaging lessons across KS3 and KS4
Our Client is seeking an enthusiastic, committed and knowledgeable Mathematics Teacher to join a successful mixed school in Chelmsford. This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher who is passionate about Mathematics and enjoys helping students develop both their subject knowledge and confidence.
The successful Mathematics Teacher will be expected to plan and deliver consistently high-quality lessons across KS3 and KS4, ensuring that students are appropriately challenged and supported regardless of their starting point. You will be responsible for creating engaging learning experiences, monitoring student progress and using assessment effectively to identify areas for development.
The role would suit an experienced Mathematics Teacher looking for a new challenge, as well as an enthusiastic ECT seeking to develop their teaching within a well-established department. The school is also happy to consider applications from overseas teachers with an appropriate formal teaching qualification and the legal right to work in the UK.
The successful candidate will be expected to contribute positively to the wider work of the department and school. You will work collaboratively with colleagues to share ideas, develop resources and ensure that students receive a consistent and high-quality Mathematics education.
School Information:
This is a highly regarded mixed school based in Chelmsford with a strong reputation for academic achievement, positive behaviour and high expectations. The school provides a structured but supportive environment where students are encouraged to take pride in their learning and develop into confident, independent young people.
The Mathematics department is well resourced and benefits from a collaborative team of teachers who are committed to achieving strong outcomes for students. The department places considerable emphasis on developing students' mathematical understanding rather than simply preparing them for examinations, helping pupils to understand how mathematical concepts can be applied to real-life situations.
The school leadership team is approachable and supportive, with a strong focus on staff development and maintaining a positive working environment. The successful Mathematics Teacher will have access to a range of resources and will be encouraged to develop their own teaching practice.
You will teach students with a range of abilities and will therefore need to demonstrate confidence in adapting lessons, providing additional support where required and extending students who are capable of working beyond the expected curriculum.
