Our Client is seeking a caring, enthusiastic and committed SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school in Maidstone. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who is passionate about working with children and young people with additional needs and who wants to make a genuine difference to their educational experience.
The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will work closely with class teachers, the SENCO and the wider pastoral team to provide tailored support to pupils across the school. You will help pupils overcome barriers to learning, develop their confidence and independence, and engage positively with both their education and the wider school community. The role will involve supporting pupils both within the classroom and, where appropriate, through individual or small-group interventions.
You will be joining a school where inclusion is central to its ethos and where every pupil is encouraged to achieve their potential. The successful candidate will be patient, approachable and adaptable, with the ability to build strong professional relationships with pupils while maintaining clear and consistent expectations.

Experience and Qualifications
Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable
Experience supporting pupils with SEN, Autism, ADHD or SEMH would be advantageous
A patient, nurturing and understanding approach to supporting pupils
Ability to adapt activities and learning approaches to individual needs
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively alongside teachers, SENCOs and other professionals
A genuine commitment to inclusive education
Legal ability to work within the UK
