You will teach Computer Science across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, helping students understand both the theory behind computing and how it can be applied through programming and problem-solving.
At KS3, students will develop their understanding of algorithms, programming, data representation, computer systems and digital technologies. You will establish strong foundations that prepare them for more advanced GCSE content.
At GCSE, you will teach topics including programming, algorithms, networks, cybersecurity, data representation and computer systems. Students will be encouraged to test their solutions, identify errors and develop logical approaches to solving problems.
You will use practical programming activities alongside theoretical teaching, ensuring that students have regular opportunities to apply what they have learned.
The role will also involve assessing student progress, providing detailed feedback and adapting lessons to support students with different levels of prior experience.

Computer Science Degree or related subject
QTS or recognised teaching qualification

Good understanding of algorithms and computational thinking
Confidence explaining technical concepts
Strong classroom management
Effective planning and assessment skills
