You will teach Mathematics across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, helping students develop a secure understanding of mathematical concepts while building their confidence in tackling increasingly challenging problems.
The curriculum will cover areas including number, algebra, geometry, ratio and proportion, statistics and probability. You will encourage students to explain their thinking, explore different methods and develop the reasoning skills needed to approach unfamiliar questions.
At GCSE, you will support students with examination preparation and help them become confident with both routine calculations and more demanding problem-solving questions. Assessment will play an important role, allowing you to identify gaps in understanding and adapt your teaching accordingly.
The school is looking for a teacher who can create structured but engaging lessons and who understands that students progress at different rates. You will provide appropriate support while continuing to challenge students who are capable of working beyond the expected level.

Maths Teacher - Experience and Qualifications
Mathematics Degree or related subject
QTS or recognised teaching qualification

Salary
The salary for this Maths Teacher position will be paid to scale on MPS/UPS, depending on experience and qualifications.
