Job Overview
Business and Economics play a central role in this girls' school’s Sixth Form academic identity and Key Stage 4 pathways. The successful applicant will take responsibility for delivering A-Level Economics, GCSE/A-Level Business Studies, and a light timetable of Key Stage 3 Mathematics.
Working alongside collaborative Social Sciences and Mathematics departments, you will guide pupils through micro/macroeconomic theory, business strategy, enterprise management, and fundamental algebraic/numerical skills. This is a full-time, ongoing or permanent role starting ASAP.
Key Responsibilities
Teach engaging, intellectually rigorous Business Studies and Economics lessons across Key Stage 4 (GCSE/BTEC) and Key Stage 5 (A-Level)
Deliver structured, high-quality Key Stage 3 Mathematics lessons to build numerical confidence and algebraic fluency in lower-school pupils
Guide A-Level Economics pupils through quantitative data interpretation, economic modeling, and evaluative essay writing
Support extra-curricular commercial and quantitative initiatives, such as Young Enterprise, financial literacy clubs, and student stock-market challenges
Assess, track, and report on student progress across formal mock examinations, analytical essays, and numerical assessments
Fulfill pastoral duties as a Form Tutor, supporting the holistic wellbeing, confidence, and personal development of female students

Candidate Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or recognized UK teaching credentials (PGCE / SCITT / QTLS)
Honors degree in Economics, Business Management, Finance, Mathematics, or a closely related quantitative discipline
Proven ability to teach A-Level Economics and GCSE/A-Level Business Studies, alongside the confidence to deliver KS3 Maths
Strong essay-mentoring and numerical explanation skills, with familiarity across major exam boards (AQA, Edexcel, OCR)
An active enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
