About the Role
You will teach Design & Technology across Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4 (GCSE), and Key Stage 5 (A-Level or vocational equivalents), specialising in Product Design, Resistant Materials, or Engineering.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging, practical, and theory-based DT lessons that nurture innovation, problem-solving, and design thinking.
Prepare pupils effectively for GCSE and A-Level examinations (AQA / Edexcel specifications).
Maintain the highest standards of workshop safety, ensuring equipment and machinery strictly adhere to health and safety regulations.
Contribute to extra-curricular design clubs, STEM competitions, and pupil portfolio exhibitions.

Candidate Requirements
Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or QTLS with a relevant degree in Design & Technology, Product Design, Industrial Design, or Engineering.
Experience: Proven track record of delivering high-quality DT lessons across KS3–KS4 (KS5 teaching experience is highly desirable).
Safety & Technical Skills: Sound knowledge of health and safety in school workshops (DATA / BS4163 certification is advantageous) and proficiency with CAD/CAM technology.
Attributes: Creative vision, strong classroom management skills, and a commitment to high academic standards.
Compliance: Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the Update Service (or willingness to process one).
