Wayman Education is seeking a highly committed and passionate English Teacher who is keen to inspire students and develop a genuine love of English. This is an excellent opportunity to join a successful secondary school in Derby with a supportive and ambitious teaching environment.

The School

The school is a well-established secondary academy with high expectations for both achievement and behaviour. It provides a broad and engaging curriculum and places strong emphasis on staff development and student progress.

The Role

  • Teach English across KS3 and KS4.

  • Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons.

  • Contribute to curriculum development within the English department.

  • Monitor and assess student progress.

  • Support the wider life of the school through extracurricular and enrichment activities.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

  • Strong subject knowledge in English.

  • Experience teaching at secondary level.

  • Able to engage and motivate students of varying abilities.

  • A committed and enthusiastic classroom practitioner.

Salary

MPS/UPS, dependent on experience.
