Our Client is seeking a talented and enthusiastic Science Teacher to join a successful secondary school in Peterborough. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a teacher who is passionate about Science and wants to work within a department that places a strong emphasis on high-quality teaching, student engagement and academic progress.

The successful candidate will be expected to deliver well-planned and stimulating Science lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. You will encourage students to develop their scientific knowledge alongside practical investigation, critical thinking, problem-solving and analytical skills.

The school is looking for an individual who can bring energy and enthusiasm to the classroom and who understands how to adapt teaching to ensure that students of different abilities are appropriately challenged and supported.

You will be responsible for assessing student work, tracking progress and providing meaningful feedback. The successful applicant will also contribute to departmental planning and work closely with colleagues to ensure consistency across the Science curriculum.

Experience and Qualifications

• Science Teacher with the ability to teach across KS3 and KS4

• Strong knowledge of the Science curriculum

• Ability to deliver engaging theoretical and practical lessons

• Excellent classroom management skills

• Experience differentiating lessons for students with varying abilities

• Strong assessment and feedback skills

• Ability to monitor student progress and identify areas for development

• A formal teaching qualification with QTS, such as a PGCE

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

• Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive education

• Legal ability to work within the UK
