A well-established secondary school in Leeds is looking for a confident Safeguarding Officer to join its dedicated pastoral and safeguarding team.

⚠️ Previous School Safeguarding Experience Essential

You’ll work closely with the DSL and school leaders to ensure safeguarding concerns are dealt with promptly and records remain accurate and up to date.

⭐ Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and respond to safeguarding concerns

  • Maintain safeguarding records and chronologies

  • Support referrals and child protection procedures

  • Follow up actions and outstanding concerns

  • Liaise with parents, social care and external agencies

  • Assist with safeguarding meetings

  • Provide support and guidance to staff

👤 About You

You’ll have previous school safeguarding or child protection experience and a strong understanding of safeguarding practice.

Excellent communication, organisation and judgement are essential. Experience using CPOMS or a similar safeguarding system would be beneficial.
