A high-performing secondary school in Hertfordshire is seeking an experienced Safeguarding Officer to strengthen its pastoral and child protection team.

⚠️ Previous School Safeguarding Experience Essential

Working alongside the DSL, you’ll play an important role in managing safeguarding concerns and ensuring pupils receive timely and appropriate support.

⭐ The Role

  • Manage day-to-day safeguarding concerns

  • Maintain CPOMS and safeguarding records

  • Support referrals and multi-agency communication

  • Monitor safeguarding actions and chronologies

  • Liaise with pupils, families and professionals

  • Support safeguarding meetings and casework

  • Assist with safeguarding audits and compliance

👤 About You

Previous school safeguarding experience is essential, alongside a strong understanding of child protection procedures and Keeping Children Safe in Education.

You’ll be approachable, highly organised and confident handling confidential information.
