A high-performing secondary school in Manchester is looking for an experienced Safeguarding Officer to join its dedicated pastoral and safeguarding team.

⚠️ Previous School Safeguarding Experience Essential

Working closely with the DSL, you’ll help manage safeguarding concerns, maintain accurate records and ensure pupils receive appropriate support.

⭐ The Role

  • Monitor and respond to safeguarding concerns

  • Maintain accurate safeguarding and welfare records

  • Manage referrals and follow-up actions

  • Support child protection procedures

  • Liaise with families and external agencies

  • Assist with safeguarding meetings and casework

  • Support staff with safeguarding processes

👤 About You

You’ll have previous experience within school safeguarding, child protection or pastoral support and a strong understanding of safeguarding procedures.

Excellent organisation, communication and judgement are essential, along with the ability to handle sensitive information professionally.
