A high-performing secondary school in St Albans is seeking an experienced Safeguarding Officer to support its strong pastoral and child protection provision.

⚠️ Previous School Safeguarding Experience Essential

You’ll work closely with the DSL and wider pastoral team, ensuring concerns are recorded accurately, appropriate actions are taken and pupils receive the support they need.

⭐ The Role

  • Manage and monitor safeguarding concerns

  • Maintain accurate safeguarding records

  • Support child protection referrals

  • Monitor CPOMS and safeguarding actions

  • Liaise with families and external agencies

  • Assist with safeguarding meetings

  • Support staff with safeguarding queries and procedures

👤 About You

Previous experience within school safeguarding or child protection is essential. You’ll be organised, approachable and confident managing confidential information.

A strong understanding of Keeping Children Safe in Education and safeguarding procedures is required.
