An excellent secondary school in Guildford is looking for a confident and experienced Safeguarding Officer to join its pastoral and safeguarding provision.

⚠️ Previous School Safeguarding Experience Essential

Working alongside the DSL and pastoral leaders, you’ll play an important role in ensuring safeguarding concerns are dealt with promptly and records are maintained to a high standard.

⭐ What You'll Be Doing

  • Respond to safeguarding concerns and referrals

  • Maintain safeguarding records and chronologies

  • Monitor actions and follow up outstanding concerns

  • Support the DSL with child protection processes

  • Liaise with parents, social care and other agencies

  • Attend safeguarding meetings where required

  • Provide guidance to staff on safeguarding procedures

👤 About You

You’ll have previous school safeguarding or child protection experience and a strong understanding of safeguarding practice.

Excellent organisation, communication and record-keeping skills are essential, along with the ability to remain professional when dealing with sensitive cases.
