A high-performing secondary school in Watford is looking for an experienced Safeguarding Officer to join its pastoral and safeguarding team.
⚠️ Previous School Safeguarding Experience Essential
You’ll work closely with the DSL and wider pastoral team, helping to ensure safeguarding procedures are followed consistently and pupils receive the right support.
⭐ The Role
Monitor and respond to safeguarding concerns
Maintain accurate safeguarding records and case files
Manage referrals and follow-up actions
Support the DSL with child protection procedures
Liaise with parents, staff and external agencies
Monitor safeguarding systems and ensure records are up to date
Support safeguarding meetings and multi-agency work
👤 About You
You’ll have previous experience working in school safeguarding or child protection and a strong understanding of safeguarding procedures.
You’ll need excellent judgement, communication skills and the ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.
