ASAP Start
You will teach Chemistry at GCSE and A-Level, with responsibility for planning and delivering lessons that combine strong subject knowledge with practical application. Students will study areas including atomic structure, bonding, quantitative chemistry, organic chemistry, energetics, rates of reaction and chemical analysis.
Practical work will be an important part of your teaching. You will give students opportunities to carry out investigations safely, interpret experimental results and understand how scientific evidence is used to reach conclusions.
At KS5, you will help students manage the increased demands of A-Level Chemistry, including calculations, extended responses and more complex theoretical concepts. You will provide regular feedback and use assessment to identify where students require further support.
Chemistry Teacher - School Information

Chemistry Teacher - Experience and Qualifications
Chemistry Degree or related scientific qualification
QTS or recognised teaching qualification
Experience teaching Chemistry at secondary level
Ability to teach GCSE and A-Level Chemistry
Strong subject knowledge
Confident delivering practical investigations
Good understanding of laboratory safety
Strong classroom and behaviour management
Effective planning and assessment skills
Ability to explain challenging concepts clearly
Commitment to high academic standards
Salary
The salary for this Chemistry Teacher position will be paid to scale on MPS/UPS, depending on experience and qualifications.
